Background Info
My
first film-based SLR camera was a Canon Rebel. It served me well and
took lots of very good photos. However, I found it difficult to improve
as a photographer. The usual problems arised: waiting for film to be
developed, finding out photos were blurry or underexposed, subject
was out of focus, impossibility to recreate the scene/moment, etc.
It was a really discouraging situation.
Like most people, I have dabbled with photographing landscapes, city scenes, macros, shapes & things, etc. Above all, my primary interest is in glamour and fashion photography. What an exciting lifestyle it must be - to travel around the world, visit exotic places and photograph beautiful models! I attend events whenever possible and it's a good opportunity expand horizons.
A few years ago, I purchased my first digital SLR camera, the Canon 20D. It is an excellent camera and well worth the money. By being able to control the camera through a computer, the instant feedback and results have allowed me to rapidly increase my knowledge and experience in photography. This would have been a very time-consuming task with a traditional film-based SLR camera. By combining my IT background with my passion for photography, the continual growth of KL Media has become a realization of my desire for achieving success.
